Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our clients team as a Transport Administrator. As a Transport Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of all transportation administration. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles.
- Liaise with drivers and other relevant parties to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor transportation costs and expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve transportation-related issues.
- Complete customs entries.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise transportation processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to enhance transportation operations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in either transport or freight
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
