Description
- Oversee and manage the transport operations at the Motherwell site.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of retail products to various locations.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimise transport routes and schedules.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures to guarantee the well-being of the transport team.
- Resolve any transport-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Produce reports highlighting the performance of the transport department.
- Participate in budgeting and cost-management processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport operations.
Profile
- Strong knowledge of transport operations and logistics.

You will be an experienced Transport Manager or Site Manager within a distribution or logistics environment and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a large operation in a fast-paced environment. You will possess excellent people management skills, having proven ability to manage complex employment related issues and challenging situations, in addition to coaching and developing your team. The successful candidate must possess a sound knowledge of Road Transport Regulations and be a national CPC licence holder, ensuring that 'O' Licence requirements are adhered to. You will have strong experience in managing teams of 15+ people and have worked in a similar position within a retail and/or distribution environment and possess a good standard of education
