Job Title: Transport / Logistics Coordinator
Hours: 37.5hrs Mon - Friday (Flexi Time between 7am - 9:30am)
Salary: Upto £22,674p/a DOE

Logistics Coordinator Job Description:
The role is office based in Irlam and the job will be varied but will focus mainly on the day-to-day freight forwarding operation including quoting, booking and managing transport movements from start to finish.
This Logistics Coordinator role will involve, but is not limited to:

• Dealing with drivers over the intercom
• Dealing with drivers at "Drivers Reception"
• Creating and updating bookings on the System
• Creating delivery paperwork for drivers and warehouse
• Sending relevant paperwork to the customer and haulier
• Raising documents for customs clearances
• Managing booking slots on site
• Keeping Commercial fully updated on the status of their Orders
• The role will require constant communication by telephone and email to Commercial and hauliers in order to provide an exceptional logistics service.
• Manage POD's
• Checking and Receipting transport invoices
• Dealing with any transport invoice queries
• Committing free stock to outstanding orders
• Creating a pick for the warehouse for the relevant date
• Maintaining order book
• Maintaining Tanker Sheet
• Process Works Orders in to stock

Key aspects of the job skills required:

• Positive and solution-based approach to work
• Knowledge of customs systems and experienced in raising export documents
• Experience in UK and European Road Freight ideal, but Air/Sea experience would suffice
• Excellent customer service skills
• Confident communicating via both phone and email
• Experience of Microsoft office packages in a work environment
• Be able to learn new IT systems quickly and accurately
• Be a team player that is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience
• UK National or right to work in the UK essential, no visa can be offered.
