As a Transport Manager you will manage a team who co-ordinate and control the inbound and outbound movement of Aftermarket Parts globally to specific markets across all transport modes, achieving this through executing the processes and procedures required in an accurate and timely manner to minimise any delay to the customer.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
Lead a team of first line managers to ensure they are effective leaders
Ensure Health & Safety standards are achieved and maintained throughout your team
Recruit exceptional people into the business and develop colleagues through the use of succession planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, customer and colleagues across all levels
Maintain all aspects of stock integrity and ensure ownership of activities and resolutions
Ensure quality requirements are met, identifying and supporting any performance improvement opportunities
Manage and plan for operational requirements against forecast and demand
About You

Competent and confident in dealing with multiple stakeholders across a range of levels
Customer service driven
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good understanding of transport and/or distribution
Experience of disciplinary and grievance procedures
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Proven leadership skills
A minimum of 5 years experience of working within a busy transport/distribution environment in the logistics and supply chain industry
Proven problem solving skills and evidence of continuous improvement
Understanding of environmental regulations would be advantageous
