Form of work We are looking for a Night Shift Transport Team Leader for our expanding client based in Corby, the purpose of the role is to oversee and facilitate the transportation department's operations, ensuring timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while proactively addressing any issues that may arise. This role is pivotal in upholding the quality and reliability of our transport services.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring departures board on TMS to ensure trips leave on time and are ETA'd when delays are incurred.
Monitoring factory collections so that they are on time in full and fully communicated with the customer.
Liaising with fleet department and ensuring defects are raised and outstanding followed up through the night.
Communicating inbound arrival times and supporting trailer availability known throughout the loading process.
Completing handovers reports to the next shift of key points and outstanding issues.
Escalating serious issues to Transport supervisor / management staff
