We are seeking a Travel Sales Administrator to join a well-established and reputable organisation with the local area.
The ideal candidate will handle incoming sales calls from various trade clients in a call centre environment, utilising selling, and customer service skills to maximise sales of scheduled air products.
This role is key to achieving high levels of customer care and retention and assisting with the smooth running of the department.
Please note we can only consider candidates with a proven Travel Sales background.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Answer incoming calls as part of a team, maintaining the high service levels agreed upon.
- Respond to calls in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
- Use airline fare sheets proficiently to provide accurate quotations.
- Construct round-the-world fare quotations accurately.
- Work towards set targets while ensuring customer care quality.
- Utilise Worldspan/SABRE CRS to optimise sales opportunities.
- Maximise profit margins through a strategic sales approach.
- Make quick decisions within a pressurised environment.
- Resolve minor problems effectively.
- Assist colleagues on an ad-hoc basis and contribute to other departments as necessary.
Experience required:
- Extensive system and product knowledge.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Calm persona and well-travelled with an understanding of the sales process.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
