At Computershare, our corporate clients predominantly employ us to act as trustee for employee benefit trusts which are put in place to reward, incentivise and retain employees through share ownership in the company. Every trust is different, ranging from the straight forward to the very complex, some aimed at all employees in the group, others aimed specifically at the senior executives.
We are also employed to provide a range of services in relation to the administration of offshore trusts and companies, mainly set up to assist in the financial planning for our clients but also for a variety of other purposes.
You must have 5 years’ residency or the equivalent right to work in Jersey to be considered for the role.
A role you will love
In the role you will act as client contact and Account Manager for key clients or events as directed by the Senior Manager – Trustee Client Services / Head of Trustee Client Services with account responsibility for circa 30 clients.
Responsibilities include first point of contact for general operational related enquiries, liaising with both clients and UK Client Managers (where applicable) to agree and document processes and service levels to ensure client needs and expectations are met, if not exceeded.

Key accountabilities:
- To project manage new and existing processes and timelines for key, corporate, high value or ad hoc events within the group. Attending client meetings where applicable
- Review and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency and delivery for the client and the business.
- Testing processes in preparation for major events.
- Display an understanding of fiduciary responsibility in order to protect the client, yourself, the team and the business.
- Instructions to and liaison with UK Legal or Tax team and/or other external professional advisers.
- To provide and maintain a day to day operational contact for key or sensitive clients to discuss and deal with any operational issues.
- Report to Senior Manager – Trustee Client Services or Head of Trustee Client Services on feedback received from clients.
- Escalation point for handling of complaints to point of final client/participant satisfaction.
- Set an example to the team of the outstanding client service that we endeavour to provide.
- Provide leadership to maintain good team morale and levels of personal commitment.
- To ensure key commercial aspects are monitored and identified and maximise commercial opportunities;
- Review of time spent invoices
What will you bring to the role?
We are looking for an individual who has a good sound knowledge of JFSC requirements and awareness of requirements for other jurisdictions. You will also be proactive, have the ability to understand the business implications of decisions taken and to improve organisational performance, and will be self sufficient and able to hit the ground running. Leadership skills are key to maintain good team morale and levels of personal commitment.
We are open to individuals who are from a private client background or who have key transferable skills that will enable them to be successful in the role, we're always open for a discussion.
Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies
- Experience in Trust and Company or employee benefit trust administration
- Sound knowledge and understanding of role of offshore trustee in client corporate actions
- Knowledge and experience of statutory and regulatory requirements for Jersey companies and trusts.
- Encourage and support the personal development of all levels of administrators to enable succession planning.
- Act as a role model for Senior Trust Administrators and Trust Administrators with demonstrable management, coaching and training exposure.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound computer skills, able to adapt to and apply new technologies. Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
