Dogs Trust are recruiting for a Business Manager to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), managing their diary and emails, as well as providing support for the wider senior team.
About this job:
In this busy role you'll:
- act as the public face of the COO, confidently managing senior stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
- provide proactive diary and inbox management
- handle the flow of information, sometimes acting as a gatekeeper to ensure that the COO’s involvement in a project or decision-making process is at the right moment
- commission and prepare high quality briefings and papers for the Executive Leadership Team, Council, Committees, and Board meetings as required.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator with previous experience in a similar position with the ability to work autonomously and within a team, exercising sound judgement and using your initiative. You will be practical, proactive and calm under pressure, with excellent planning and organising skills and the ability to manage complex and highly confidential information.

About the team:
The Business Manager sits within a newly created directorate which is responsible for handling the charity’s internal affairs, overseeing all financial, legal, and compliance functions.
