We are recruiting a Partnerships Executive (Trusts & Foundations) to join our fundraising team at School-Home Support.
We are in a school attendance crisis, with 1.5 million children in England missing too much school. This figure has doubled since before the pandemic. Persistently absent children - those missing 10% or more of school - are missing weeks, months, or even years of their education, severely impacting their future life chances.
At School-Home Support, we work with families to solve the underlying causes of persistent absence, so that children can be in school, ready to learn and achieve their full potential.
This is an exciting time to join School-Home Support. The need for our work has never been greater. In September 2022, we launched our new strategy to get our model of support to as many children and families across England as possible. We are expanding our work to new parts of the country, developing new ways to deliver our service, and campaigning to influence policy and practice to enable all children to be in school.
The post holder will join a team of three Trust Fundraisers and will be responsible for raising income from small and medium Trusts and Foundations giving four and five-figure grants.
We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in trust fundraising. Being a small team, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to write concisely, simply, and persuasively. They will have a keen eye for detail, enjoy building relationships with funders, be able to manage a varied workload, and will be excited about our mission to get children in school and ready to learn.
To apply for this role, please write a cover letter outlining how you meet each of the criteria on the person specification (listed in the job description) and why you are interested in this role. Please write concisely, using simple language.
