The role
Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our NEROCU Department as a TSU Project Coordinator.
You will provide administrative and governance support to a range of project boards. Disseminating documents in a timely manner, preparing agendas and taking minutes are just some of the tasks you will complete as well as distributing documents and expediting actions to support the delivery of projects.
What you’ll do
You will work with both police officers and staff to contribute to the overall achievement of TSU and force objectives, supporting the team to understand programme and project governance. This will include creating and maintaining standard project documents and supporting documents as well as keeping up to date with legislation changes.
Providing an administrative function such as managing and co-ordinating diaries, organising project meetings and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders. Co-ordinating across the force training departments to monitor and update training profile and schedule training when required.
Being a point of contact for all information and benchmarking requests as well as maintaining the force programme and project governance structure – ensuring all meet corporate standards.
Help facilitate improvement workshops and key meetings to map and critically evaluate services, processes and application of technology.
You will complete monthly reports, regular inventory audits and develop and maintain file structures ensuring standardised and streamline processes are followed.
What you’ll bring
Knowledge and competence using computer programmes such as Microsoft Office to provide administrative support.
Able to balance workloads and prioritise appropriately, being able to adapt and flex when required.
Ability to anticipate problems and work independently to resolve these (seeking support when needed) as well as identifying potential for improvement to efficiency and effectiveness.
You will have strong communication skills, building strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, resilient and a willingness to being flexible.

Terms of appointment
This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
