In order to be eligible, you MUST meet ALL the following criteria.

  • I am at least 18 years old at the time of application.
  • I am a UK National.
  • I hold a full manual/automatic UK Driving Licence.
  • I will be able to provide all the ID documents required to complete my pre-employment screening and security clearance.

The Sensitive Intelligence Command is part of the wider Home Office Intelligence, within which the 3 posts advertised are also maintained.

Integrees work within UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) targeting serious organised crime and organised immigration crime. The roles require the use of UKIC partner intelligence gathering techniques and the analysis and development of that product to support the operational and strategic goals of the Home Office and its law enforcement partners.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that both protects and enhances the UK economy and contributes to the protection of UK borders. Our work is varied and rewarding, attracting people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

The Home Office Intelligence function has a primary purpose of developing credible, and timely intelligence to seek out the illicit movement of cargo and people by identifying focused intelligence leading to better and more targeted outcomes. We keep the country safe by delivering the right intelligence at the right time to enable better interventions that will prevent harm to the UK.

We will do this together, using our knowledge and expertise to:

a. Work as one team with the frontline and our partners to stop criminality at the border and protect the vulnerable.

b. Join data and intelligence on goods and people to identify unknown threats.

c. Identify more known threats and operate a single watchlist.

d. Understand the impact of threats better so we can prioritise activity against those that create most harm.

In these roles you will be part of a network of HOI integrees based within UKIC facilities. If you are successful for Manchester based posts will be required to successfully complete the GCHQ Analyst Development Programme and become part of the ongoing joint working initiative between GCHQ and other law enforcement partners. As such, the you will be expected to work in a multi-agency team supporting the work of the Home Office.

If you are successful for the London post, you will undertake induction and onboarding with UKIC in support to upstream OIC operations.

You will be responsible for the analysis, development and dissemination of actionable tactical and strategic intelligence and will be trained to use UKIC tools and techniques to analyse and develop intelligence which will facilitate actionable leads and evidential opportunities for law enforcement.

They will work as part of the Home OfficeSensitive Intelligence Unit (SIU) capability which functions alongside fellow nationally accredited SIUs that comprise the Sensitive Intelligence Network. The SIU is responsible for the collection, development, and dissemination of high-grade Sensitive Intelligence in support of the Home Office, and partner law enforcement, response to Serious Organised Crime (SOC).

A vital element of these roles involves developing relationships with LE and UK Intelligence Community colleagues to provide Home Office Intelligence with a unique tasking capability and ensure access to sensitive tactical, strategic and time critical intelligence reporting.

These are high-profile roles, offering a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute towards the development of the Home Office’s Sensitive Intelligence capabilities.

Candidate to note:

  • The roles are full time due to the requirements of the role and the extensive full time training programme (6 months +) that successful candidates have to undertake.
  • Candidates Please Note: There is no shift working requirement, and therefore no AHW/AHA allowance available for this role.
