Salary up to £62,500 + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underwriter to further their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new business cases within Financial Lines - Professional & Management Risks.
Duties of Insurance Underwriter:
* Provide and maintain a good level of underwriting, demonstrate a detailed knowledge of company guidelines and authority levels
* Review broker generated quotes and encourage broker to place the business by highlighting product benefits and negotiating terms
* Maintain existing broker relationship through regular development meetings in conjunction with the Head of Financial Lines Sector Sales and Business Development Managers
* Handle workflow from enquiry receipt to outcome through the workflow platforms
* Actively seek new business prospects utilising the CRM system accordance with the CRM Working Practices guide
Essential:
* Must have previous experience within Professional Indemnity and Information Technology underwriting and/or underwriting portfolios and binders
* Strong communication skills and past experience with dealing with clients by email and telephone
* Have previous experience with proactively managing own workflow
