What you’ll do
As Business Services Officer, you will provide effective facilities management services across NHG office portfolio whilst providing excellent customer service.
Notting Hill Genesis is currently recruiting for two Business Services Officers:
- 1x Permanent, full time
- 1x One year fixed-term, full time
Your day-to-day work will vary – from meeting and greeting of visitors and dealing with enquires; day to day maintenance tasks and overseeing contractor work; managing of post room services; supporting activity-based working; specialist Administrational Support, support meeting room and event bookings.
We are a busy team, working to tight deadlines to provide services, so you’ll need to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities while delivering a ‘can do’ and whilst offering a high-quality service, but knowing that you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team.
How you’ll do it
- Meet and greet of visitors (reception) and dealing with enquiries; written, face to face, and on the telephone
- Day to day maintenance tasks and overseeing contractor work
- Delivery of post room services
- Supporting activity-based working
- Specialist Administrational Support
The ideal candidate
You will be able to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines in a customer service environment.
The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and writing skills and have experience of working in a customer facing role, with excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
This is a demanding, but very satisfying role and would suit anyone who enjoys a varied and interesting job within a friendly, supportive and hard-working team.

Essential:
- Experience of facilities management or similar related work
- Excellent experience of interacting and communicating (both written and verbal) with different clientele groups (corporate and operational), which may be challenging in terms of requirements and/or their behaviours
- Experience of supporting a dispersed workforce
- Sound understanding and experience of Health and Safety within an office
Desirable:
- Good understanding of Business Continuity Planning
