Social Media Executive

Salary: c.£25,000 plus benefits 

Hours per week: 37.5

SUDU is our new UK sportswear brand headquartered in Manchester. With aspirations to be a leading brand that not only equips individuals with the tools they need to excel in physical pursuits but also to empower mindsets with every motion. Our first collection ‘Run’ features 17 products across footwear and apparel.  

We’re looking for a Social Media Executive to join our Brand & Marketing team, to support the launch of our new sportswear brand ‘SUDU’ this summer.
In this role, you’ll act as the brand guardian for SUDU and future sub-brands under Levy Merchandising and be the lead point of contact for all day-to-day Social Media and content creation activities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter with prior Social Media experience to play an integral role in driving the overarching business objectives for our brand. We’re a new and growing business and this role will give the right candidate the opportunity to develop and progress their career. You’ll have the support and guidance of our Head of Brand, but you’ll also have the autonomy to be creative, experiment and pitch fun and exciting concepts. 

What you’ll do:

  • Work with our Head of Brand to execute our social strategy & grow channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & YouTube
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business, as well as external agencies, to ensure content and copy are aligned with brand tone of voice, email, PR and performance marketing
  • Create and maintain the organic social calendar, supporting marketing initiatives and ensuring messaging on all our channels is aligned
  • Champion brand values and key messages across content and social activations, communicating our offering to our customers in a fun and innovative manner
  • Manage briefing and feedback rounds for organic social with the creative team, ensuring each piece of content is fit for purpose and channel
  • Ensure social copy is in line with editorial tone of voice, proofread and legally correct
  • Collate user generated content from the community and distribute to key stakeholders, ensuring we are surfacing content outside of creative studio
  • Schedule and post all content across social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & YouTube 
  • Find new and exciting ways to engage customers via Social Media channels to drive awareness, conversation and loyalty 
  • Community management - create and foster communities on social platforms, ensuring we are listening and responding, whilst representing our community
  • Support with influencer & ambassador programme - identifying, pitching, contracting and securing talent to act as brand ambassadors
  • Create briefs and manage influencer programme work to ensure all ambassador work is in line with brand values, aesthetic and master comms plan
  • Work with external content creators to support with brand asset creation

This role would suit people who have/are:

  • Some experience of working in a Social Media role, agency or client side, or a mix of both
  • Some experience in content creation, photography, video editing skills for platforms such as TikTok & Instagram, although we do work with agencies to create master brand content 
  • Passionate about content creation and engagement on social platforms. Always up to date on algorithm changes and Social Media trends
  • Motivated to develop creative ideas independently
  • Great written and verbal communication skills and able to write/create copy
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills 
  • The ability to use data and insight to drive decision making and present this in an understandable way
