The Role:
We are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly growing day team, here at Ashleigh Vets. This position would be suitable for both a relatively confident new graduate, or a colleague with some experience who is eager to learn, and progress within a supportive environment. This role is for the Small Animal (cat and dog) side of our clinic.
About us:
We have two practices -our Small Animal, and exotics practice is located in Chorlton, Manchester, and our Sale practice is exclusively for felines! Both have good access to the city centre. We see a variety of cases, ranging from the simple, to the more complex, as we have a large team of veterinary staff, with many years of experience, interests, and specialities. We are proud to say that we have been providing Veterinary care to our local community for over 50 years, and have an excellent local reputation.
We have all the necessary equipment and facilities needed to provide the best modern treatment for the well-being and comfort of our patients as expected. Our equipment includes digital X-ray, video endoscopy, ultrasound etc.
Ashleigh Vets currently has twelve Veterinary Surgeons, eleven Registered Veterinary Nurses, three Trainee Nurses, seven Auxiliary Veterinary Nurses, eight Receptionists and a Practice Manager
Meeting up outside of work was very common before covid, and we have started to do that again!
Applicant Requirements:
. MRCVS
. Some experience in routine surgery
. Must be a team player who is keen to learn, and in turn support others in this process
. And finally. Some would say most importantly-Must be friendly, and able to have a laugh too
The rota will involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days. This means that every week you would get a weekday off. The working days are a mix of shifts including:
. 8:00am-3.30pm
. 9:00am-4:00pm
. 9:00am-7.30pm
The weekend work includes working on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-11:30pm and Sunday from 10:00am-11:00am and is worked in a 1 in 6-7 rota.

The Salary offered is up to £60,000 depending on experience
