- Primary focus is to develop strong bottom-up relationships with targeted LP prospects and deliver top-down engagement with consultants and independent advisors in order to execute new business targets;
- Develop sales opportunities, source and close new business prospects;
- Improve the relationships and ratings with UK consultants and fiduciary management providers that are key to the local LP market;
- Enable a broader and deeper access to the market in order to win profitable new business - e.g. identify opportunities to develop relationships across other distribution channels/client segments: insurers, private banks, family offices, wealth advisors;
- Oversee due diligence requests and RFPs and coordinate other ad hoc requests with relevant internal teams, on behalf of investors and consultants/advisors;
- Preparation of materials for investor meetings and roadshows;
- Lead research, ad hoc projects, other ongoing Institutional Distribution responsibilities;
- Attend relevant industry events;
- Support development of other team members as appropriate, e.g. intern, junior analyst.
Profile:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of business development experience, ideally with at least 2 in private markets
- Experience with UK pension funds, consulting intermediaries and other institutional asset owners (DB/DC asset owners, consultants also insurers)
- Knowledge of private markets strategies: private equity, private debt, real assets, infrastructure etc
- Self-motivated and proactive with a same-day mindset to executing activities and actions
- Degree educated, professional qualifications ideally (IMC/CFA/MBA)
