ROLE PURPOSE:

The main purpose of the role is to provide business support to the Visual Media Manager and support activities related to the Visual Media within GEDU Global Education marketing department. This is an exciting and diverse role with core responsibilities including diary management, supporting internal communications, project planning, and meeting/event planning. In addition, the Visual Media Production will be working closely with the marketing. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently on multiple tasks at any one time. This is a has a scope to assume additional duties, including internal communications and project co-ordination. The role holder has direct exposures to the broad workings of the agile Visual Media Production operations.

 

  • Active diary management of global Visual Media Production in UK, INDIA, DUBAI Malta and more.
  • Handling day-to-day production paperwork, such as release forms, calendars and ensuring all production trackers are up to date.
  • Regularly liaising with the stakeholders across the GEDU business, freelancers and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting the photo/video production teams in all aspects of the shoot logistics process.
  • Supporting the Visual Media team when necessary, with location clearances and talent bookings
  • Contributing to creative brainstorms and pitches with research, ideas and minutes.
  • Responsible for scheduling, budgeting, cost reporting and managing the production in line with unit requirements.
  • Supporting Visual Media Production weekly meetings
  • Preparing and drafting a variety of documents (brief templates, call sheets, SOP’s)
  • Producing reports on work delivered
  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects involving appropriate research and planning, organisation of resources and tracking of deliverables and actions
  • Assisting the Visual Media Manager to monitor initiatives and deliverables due from GEDU Marketing Department
  • Processing and managing invoices, aiding the Visual Media Manager with fundamental billing tasks.
  • Liaising with third party vendors, suppliers and freelance

 

Skills and Experience Required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Honours degree education or relevant experience
  • Previous experience providing proactive and effective support in Media Production or film or a recording studio.
  • Confident and enthusiastic about producing a variety of media content
  • must have previous entry level industry experience in professional production/project management
  • be extremely well organised, a proactive planner capable of working across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • have an understanding of how to take projects from brief, through creative development, into shoots and on to delivery
  • have good budgeting, negotiation and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Gravitas and the ability to deal with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to handle diary management, logistical and administrative details independently whilst exercising good judgement and keeping stakeholders adequately informed in real time
  • Confident and warm personality when working with people at all levels and eager to get stuck in
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel desired but not necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and act on own initiative
  • Aptitude for learning and eagerness to get stuck in
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest and or experience in working for a Visual Media Production
  • Understanding of Video Production Framework
  • Understanding of Photo Production Framework
