Job description
I am working with a leading edge charity who are looking to recruit a Volunteer Support Lead in a newly created post.
In this role you will manage the Volunteer Support Team to ensure that the charity is supporting its volunteers in a clear, kind, empathic and facilitative manner.
This is a hybrid role which will require you to work in the office one day a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day leadership to the Volunteer Support Team, assisting them with the delivery of their duties and ensuring high standards of service are delivered
* Work closely with the Head of Volunteer Management to ensure that standards of conduct and service delivery are aligned
* Ensure that feedback to volunteers is clear, kind and constructive.
* Working with colleagues to monitor the data associated with the delivery of the charity’s service
* Act as champion for volunteers within the organisation and the volunteer community.
Key Skills and experience required
* Previous management experience is essential
* Good management skills – collaborative and supportive; and good coaching skills
* Good attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Skilled in providing constructive feedback
* Enthusiastic and positive approach, motivated to create a high performing team and to deliver an excellent service for the charity
