We have now a unique and exciting opportunity for a new Warehouse and Logistics Manager for the Water and Waste business, based in UK, Poole, Dorset.
As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, your duties encompass directing the logistics team to oversee logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring business requirements and customer satisfaction are met while monitoring quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency. Additionally, you are responsible for maintaining KPIs, analyzing data to evaluate performance, implementing enhancements, and liaising and negotiating with suppliers and logistics service providers.
What will you be doing?
- Overseeing and monitoring of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
- Tackling and resolving any issues or complaints that may arise
- Supervising, coaching, and training the warehouse workforce
- Keeping track of the cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeline targets
- Working in conformity with laws, regulations, and policies
- Overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods or materials
- Resolving delivery inconsistencies or delay
- Developing an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by setting expectations, and communicating the company’s goals or objectives
- Taking care of inquiries or compliance issues related to shipping or transportation matters
You will shine in this role when you have:
- You are confident in coordinating and prioritizing daily activities and urgent requests with relevant colleagues in order to find a satisfactory solution.
- Experienced in managing Warehouse and logistics activities.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in the English language, both verbal and written.
- A team player with a “Doer” attitude.
- Working knowledge of SAP advantageous.
