Warehouse Assembly Team Leader

The main purpose of the job:
- Pre-assemble equipment for site, on-site installation, leading other technicians.
- Maintain the workshop and prepare shipments ready for delivery and installation.
Qualifications and Knowledge Required
- A good level of general education
- A relevant qualification in a technical subject (computing. Engineering or related discipline)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in practice
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Full, clean driving license & passport
- Keen to gain experience in the AV/VC Industry
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake installation activities on time, on spec, and within the budgeted number of hours for each job
- Assemble equipment, following product design specifications and new product specifications
- Identify and resolve any problems or faults, suggesting practical and technical solutions to the Project Engineers and Project Managers
- Prepare and pack equipment and paperwork ready for shipment
- Adhere to the highest standards of health and safety and the Company Health and Safety Policy in all aspects of work
- Complete all installation work following Quality Procedures, with a low re-work rate, and to the standards audited within the Company s Quality Management Systems
- Organize the workshop and stores, manage and maintain stock control, and audit and catalog all stock
- Maintain records of each installation
- Be proactive in suggesting new methods and techniques to improve efficiency
- Lead assembly for internal/external frames, panel/screen & camera leveling
- Lead QA for bolt check, screen/panel gaps, camera leveling, front/back panels & James s App
- Lead packaging to include cleaning frames, foam/cable ties, install guides/IVD & care packages are added to frames
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as reasonably requested by company management to meet the needs of the business
Competencies and Skills Required:
- Good technical understanding with the ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions and technical literature
- A practical, hands-on approach with a keen interest in developing mechanical skills
- Flexible and adaptable with excellent organizational skills to plan and prioritize own work and operate under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills, with the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships within the team, and across the organization
- Ability to work from instructions, but also to think laterally and suggest engineering solutions on-site
- Strong ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and target-driven, with a can do attitude
- A thorough, analytical approach to tasks with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to find effective solutions
- A positive, helpful approach to providing support and assistance to customers and the team
- Ability to operate with a high level of accuracy and complete all work following Quality Procedures.
