Your role

As a key member of our team, you will engage in a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations in our warehouse / yard to help us provide excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

Providing top-notch service to our customers.

Efficiently handling order picking and preparing deliveries.

Safely operating counter balance forklifts for loading and unloading of materials.

Assisting in stock management and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

We're seeking

Someone with a focus on excellent customer service.

Some industry experience or experience of work in a similar environment would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given.

Ideally you will have a current valid counterbalance forklift truck certificate or very recent experience of driving counterbalance forklifts.

The ability to work both as part of a team and independently, honesty, integrity and reliability are all attributes that would make you a great fit for us.

Ideally you will also have some driving experience as there may be occasions where we are looking for some cover on one of our transit pick up delivery vehicles during busy periods.

Job details

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm and then potentially some Saturday mornings on a rota basis 8am - 12 noon. Saturday is paid at overtime rates.

The nature of the role involves manual lifting of sometimes heavy building materials.

This role is based at our Macmerry Depot in East Lothian. Our depot is easily accessible, only ten minutes away from the Edinburgh City Bypass.
