Job Description

A family business, H. Seal & Co. Ltd. is one of the U.K.’s longest established textile narrow fabric manufacturers.

An opportunity has arisen to join our team in Whitwick as a Warehouse and Inspection Operative.

We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with an eye for detail and excellent numeracy and literacy skills. This is very much a ‘hands-on’ role involving some manual handling and heavy lifting, however, you should also have a competent level of computer literacy. You will need to be happy in an active role and have a reasonably good level of fitness. You will be responsible for inspection, identification and checking into stock of both raw & finished material and picking & despatch of orders amongst other general warehouse duties.

Full training for the role will be provided and the suitable employee will be given the opportunity to upskill including First Aid certification and Forklift training.

Hours

39 hours, Monday to Thursday, some flexibility available.

Role Responsibilities

Manual handling of raw materials & finished product.

Unloading, counting, labelling & storage of raw materials.

Packing, labelling & storage of finished goods.

Picking & packing finished goods into boxes, correct labelling and despatching of orders.

Entering and maintenance of stock on computer system.

Monitoring and keeping accurate stock levels, both physical and computer.

Maintaining quality control standards & operating procedures.

Following health & safety standards to ensure rules are being followed.

Keeping workplace environment clean & tidy.

Other general warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth & safe operations on-site.

Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Computer literate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
