Job Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse staff and 3PL providers to ensure efficient operations
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes
- Implement and optimize supply chain strategies
- Utilize transportation management systems for effective logistics
- Monitor profit loss statements and implement cost-saving measures
· Management responsibilities,
o Manage a team of warehouse operatives, allocating duties as and when required. Setting KPIs and arranging 1-2-1s
o Participation in site management meetings
o Continuous improvement of site’s warehouse processes
· Management of the goods in process for materials in accordance with the ‘Goods In Procedure’, ‘Allergen Handling Procedure’, ‘Storage Procedure’ and any other assured status handling procedure.
· Management of ingredient pick process for production
· Management of the dispatch process,
o Organising picklists/orders in order of priority for the day
o Pick, pack and dispatch of orders
o Making sure any picked and packed orders are wrapped and packed in accordance with company ‘Dispatch procedure’ and customer standards.
o Complete goods receipt upon arrival of finished goods
o Manage hauliers
o Ensure goods are delivered on time and in full where possible.
o Keep on top of the open items list to ensure picklists are created on time and orders are delivered according to due date where possible.
o Investigation of any customer raised delivery non-compliances.
· Management of warehouse areas
o Ensure all warehouse areas and forecourt is kept tidy, well ordered and in clean hygienic condition.
o Correct labelling and quarantining of non-conforming product. Disposing of quarantined material in a timely manner.
o Waste management
o Completion of sharps checks and cleaning records daily
o Checking of onsite consumables (cartons, labels, tapes, shrink wrap, pallets) and ordering when running low.
o Forklift duties entailing safe loading and unloading of pallets.
o Carry out stock takes when required
o Site security of warehouse areas i.e. keeping roller shutter doors closed.
· Fire warden.
· First aider.
· Product Recall/ Withdrawal team member.
· Compliance with company’s H&S and Technical policies and procedures
· Any other reasonable duties that support the effective delivery if the role.
Skills:
- Proficiency in supervising warehouse operations
- Experience with using SAP as WMS
- Knowledge of forklift operation and safety protocols, preferred to have Bendi license
- Experience with supply chain and logistics management
- Strong understanding of business processes within a warehouse setting
