About Us: Workchain Derby is a leading recruitment agency specializing in matching talented individuals with reputable companies across various industries. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Goods In Supervisor for a warehouse located in Burton-on-Trent.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the goods receiving process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in checking and recording incoming shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to schedule deliveries and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying any discrepancies or issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and optimize warehouse operations.
- Assist in the implementation of new systems or procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
