AddressJob Purpose - To ensure an efficient operation of the Warehousing and Distribution service in terms of organisation, co-ordination, physical logistics, processes and stock
Principle Accountabilities - The co-ordination of goods in and goods out as per below:
To satisfy sales order requirements in terms of the preparation of stock
Efficient utilisation of storage facilities
Utilisation of warehouse management software for stock management
To ensure stock is received and located in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
To list all A and B grade machines and make ready for sale – this involves the liaison with the Technical Support team in order for them to repair, test & assess
Receipt of all returned goods following the recognised system – processed, checked & investigated – liaison with the Technical Support team as may be required
Repackage and return to stock any suitable items
Dispose of any damaged items
Receipt of all mugs returned – repacked into quantities of 12 & 24 for future orders
Pick, test and present all A & B grade orders – in conjunction with the Technical Support team
Ensure the return to the Technical Support team, any customer returns for repair, testing etc in conjunction with the Technical Support team
Goods Out:
To satisfy in a timely manner, sales order requirements through to despatch, ensuring on time and in full for all orders, inclusive of loading, including dealing with Order Matters
Utilisation of warehouse management software for stock management
Liaison with the Shipping team in terms of couriers and monitor for daily requirements
Ensure all despatches are accurate, adhering to quality standards
Ensure Ebay fulfilment centre orders are despatched correctly – as may be required
All batch documentation to be accurate for end of day / next day processing
Other:
Ensure all work instructions are adhered to
Ensure continuous improvement activities, identifying areas of non-value added
Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained to the highest manufacturers or suppliers standards, including all daily / weekly checks
To ensure inventory control and stock management is maintained including conducting regular stock audits and location availability including on site containers
Maximise productivity and minimise damage and waste
Co-ordinate all container deliveries
Unloading of deliveries requiring powered vehicle support – trained personnel only
Loading of collections requiring powered vehicle support – trained personnel only
Maintain excellent housekeeping across all areas
To assist with all working hours in terms of normal working, short time, additional hours, overtime hours, temporary labour and other eventualities as may be required ensuring full availability for all warehouse requirements
Assist with Warehouse training as may be required
Additional responsibilities to support the Warehouse Manager:
To assist with employee relations in terms of staff rotas, performance, welfare, communication, involvement, probation, induction, performance reviews and dispute resolution in conjunction with the Human Resources team
Health, safety and environmental supervision
To develop employees within all areas of responsibility in line with objectives
Completion of all necessary documentation in full
Skills / experience required:
Similar experience gained within a warehouse environment
Able to take on a wide range of tasks
Good attention to quality
Able to follow instructions & operating procedures accurately
Good communication skills
Speed & accuracy is key for this role
Flexible in terms of start & finish times & during busy periods
Current counterbalance or flexi license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
