Job title: Chemical Waste Manger

Location: Fawley, Hampshire

Temporary Contract (potential for extension to permanent role)

£39,827 p/a

SRG are looking for a Waste Manager to work with a UK wide water and waste management company. As a Waste Manager, you'll be pushing for innovative solutions to create a more sustainable future for all, helping us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture. You'll be managing hazardous waste, and overseeing and improving disposal processes on site and elsewhere.

This role would be perfect for anyone with technical knowledge of hazardous or waste chemicals, either from industry experience, or academic knowledge to degree level in chemistry or related subject.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• 
  Manage hazardous and non hazardous waste on site.
• Manage the waste team.
• Advise clients of new ideas and implement new technologies and procedures as they become available.
• Ensure that the correct information is provided for all hazardous waste materials to be technically assessed, correctly packaged and stored to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, guidance and authorisations.
• Classify material on site following procedures.
• Follow instructions and procedures for the packaging, labelling and collection of hazardous waste materials
• Collate, record, accurately log and maintain all data / information using designated systems (HAZMAT / Salesforce i.e.)
• Report KPI's

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree /HNC Chemistry or equivalent
• CMS Competency
• Technical knowledge of hazardous waste / chemicals
• Experience with data capturing
• Valid UK driving licence
• IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
