SalaryMind in Brighton and Hove (MiBH) empowers and supports people who have experience of mental health issues in Brighton and Hove, East and West Sussex.
We are seeking a part-time (28 hours per week) Wellbeing Support Officer based in Brighton, with some remote working. This is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2025.
Breathing Space provides one-to-one mental Wellbeing Support to tenants of Orbit Housing across Sussex who are referred for support to enhance their mental wellbeing and build long-term resilience. We work with clients to help them develop strategies to look after their wellbeing, provide advice and signposting to specialist and community services, and we can also provide personalised planning, goal setting and weekly support. Support is predominantly provided over the telephone, with occasional requests for online and face-to-face sessions, and lasts for a fixed number of sessions.
The role will be varied and busy, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. We are looking for someone who can communicate well, has good active listening skills and awareness of boundaries. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one emotional and Wellbeing Support to individual clients.
