About the role….

If you have a passion for helping people and want to making a difference then the role of Working Gateshead Job Coach could be for you.

The successful applicant will join the Council’s dynamic and successful Working Gateshead service that seeks to help customers move closer to and into work.

The role has a big focus on supporting customers who are unemployed or economically inactive but also those are who working and want to change jobs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in working to job start targets, managing a caseload and providing information advice and guidance to help people move into employment.

Engaging customers, being proactive, building relationships and partnership working will be key to ensuring people receive the right support at the right time and can achieve their goals.

With demonstrable knowledge of local labour market and economic conditions, barriers to employment and Department for Work and Pensions services including Jobcentre Plus, you will hold or be prepared to work towards a Level 4 information advice and guidance or employability qualification.
