Manpower are recruiting for one of our established clients in Aberdeen. We are actively seeking a workshop Assistant to join a small well-functioning team to support in operations.
Responsibilities:
- Have a high focus on safety and work in accordance with HSE regulations at all times and be willing to take part in internal safety systems.
- General maintenance of company tools, including redressing, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
- Preferably be proficient in the use of multi-meters and other basic instruments.
- Preferably be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
- Maintain records and communications as required by Company procedures
- Drive forklift (training will be given if required)
- Must have a flexible approach to working overtime and at short notice.
- Maintain a clean and tidy premise, including the external areas.
- Assist Logistics with dispatch demands and stores, including deliveries and collections.
- Ensure stock records are accurate and carry out stock checks as required
- Move parts/equipment into position manually or with hoists or cranes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a mechanical environment and have experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems would be advantages as well as well as a background working with downhole tools but this is not essential.
Essential:
- Valid UK driving licence
- Fundamental computer skills
- Valid Counter Balance license
This is a full time position, temporary contract with the opportunity to go permanent.
Monday-Thursday 8.30AM-16.00PM/Friday 8.30AM-15.00PM
£12.17 hourly pay.
