THE JOB:
Overall, you’ll be supporting the engineering function, helping build and commission automated specialist equipment. The equipment is used to apply pipeline coatings including insulation machines, automated heating and coating machines, infra-red heaters, and grit blasting machines. The job will involve:
- Refurbishment and fault finding of equipment returned from site so it can be upgraded
- Occasionally attend other facilities in the UK, or overseas, to assist with installation, refurbishment and removal of equipment
- Be involved with projects from concept to implementation and testing.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years Mechanical engineering experience, including fitting, from bench assembly to complete machine builds.
- Good understanding of pneumatic / hydraulic systems.
- Fabrication and welding experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of machine wiring and basic knowledge of electrical hazards.
- All round machining skills
- Experience with fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance schedules
