Social and Emotional Support Workers required throughout Bristol!
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a number of SEND Schools in Bristol for social and emotional support workers, both part time and full time. The students at the schools have either a diagnosis of SEMH (Social emotional and mental health needs), learning disabilities or have a EHP (Educational Healthcare Plan). All of the schools share the ethos of a collaborative and inclusive approach to education to ensure all individuals can have a meaningful and rewarding educational experience.
About you:
You may have direct experience within a supportive role in an educational setting, however we are keen to hear from individuals with backgrounds in areas such as youth work, mental health and care/ health care work also. You will be an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and is an excellent communicator. You will be comfortable providing support in both a 1:1 and group setting in the classroom. An ability to be creative and draw on various supportive techniques would also be beneficial. Alongside this, a calm and reassuring approach is needed in all situations with the students. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
