We are looking for an administrator to provide high quality administrative support to History, Classics and Archaeology researchers and to join the School’s Research, Knowledge Exchangeand Impact Team.
We are keen to attract candidates from a wide range of backgrounds.
The Opportunity:
The role provides effective and efficient administration and guidance for a broad range of the School’s research activities. This includes financial administration of a portfolio of accounts, for advising and acting as secretary to three committees, for administering the internal research funding schemes, the sabbatical leave process and the annual research planning process and facilitating and supporting the visiting scholar programme.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Demonstrable relevant administrative work experience in a similar environment.
Strong IT skills, and the ability to quickly learn how to use a range of new packages including non-standard systems
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
High degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail (particularly in maintaining financial data)
Ability to quickly learn and master new processes and sustain a high performance whilst working under pressure
