Our client in Knowsley are seeking an Account Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract until early 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave. The company are a plant, machinery and training business so will be responsible for managing current accounts ensuring all clients receive a quality service and are advised of the latest offers and courses. On offer is a basic salary of £24,000. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
There are no cold calling sales with this role. All engagement will be with the current client portfolio. Please also note this is a fixed-term contract until early 2025.
The main duties of an Account Manager are:
Delivery of excellent service through effective account management via phone and email.
Keep in contact with key decision makers with a view to developing and maintaining strong business relationships (mixture of inbound and outbound, no cold calling)
Use a consultative approach to different opportunities to maximise account profitability.
Listen and understand the client's needs to ensure tailored solutions.
Act as the first point of contact for your clients and provide additional support or any issues they may have.
Effectively manage your own diary of client calls and correspondence.To be considered for the position of Account Manager:
Account management, sales or customer service experience via phone is essential.
A high work ethic coupled with an energetic and methodical approach to work.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Strong verbal and listening skills coupled with a professional telephone manner.
