The Opportunity
This is a new role within our Finance Department and will require the postholder to manage and develop all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable activities at the College, spanning all aspects of College operations including tuition fees income, wraparound care fees, purchase ledger, childcare vouchers, refectory cards, exam fees, school buses and trips, to ensure that all funds are received accurately and timeously.
How you will make an impact
In this new and diverse role, in which you will work as part of a small but busy Finance team. You will be required to continuously improve and modernise processes and systems in order to deliver efficient customer service in relation to all financial transactions to our customers. You will assist in enhancing our customers relations by proactively and diligently managing our billing process to minimise any fee debt.
You will also assist in the automation and modernisation of our financial processes for optimal performance and provision of an efficient finance department.
What you need to succeed
You will have strong financial and IT skills coupled with previous experience in a similar or related role ideally having previously worked in debt recovery. You have a keen eye for detail, and you will know what “good” looks like. You will be an excellent communicator who places the customer at the forefront of everything you do, building excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and customers naturally to provide customer experience that is second to none.
You will be highly numerate and organised with the ability to multi task, prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Previous working knowledge and experience of cloud based financial management software is essential.
