Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive & retained client based just outside Coupar Angus for a permanent Accountant to join an established team. Salary is up to £40,000 depending on experience + 35 days annual leave, competitive pension, discretionary bonus & other benefits including a health care cash plan. This role is full-time at 35 hours a week. However, part-time individuals may be considered for the right person. The role is based full time in the office, but hybrid working can be considered once you have completed your probationary period.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will complete a varied workload with both management & financial accounting responsibilities. You will prepare the monthly management accounts including analysis and complete various financial reports. You will complete bank & balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, P & L & nominal ledger accounting. You will oversee some transactional accounting, process expenses and be involved in various process & system improvement projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced company accountant who has completed a varied workload including management accounting or you will be a first mover from practice into industry. You will possess excellent communication skills, strong IT experience including Excel and be comfortable working both alone and as part of a team.
