Accountant

We are looking for an accountant to join a manufacturing business on an initial 9-12 month contract.

The job will involve producing high quality and accurate monthly reporting packs, information that the business can use to make informed and strategic business decisions. You’ll also be involved in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as well as statutory returns and accounts for 3 companies.

With your finely tuned analytical skills you’ll dive into labour variances, margin and cost centre analysis as well as reviewing the P&L and comparing year on year.

You’ll also work closely with the budget holders to produce accurate budgets, calculate accruals and prepayments and of course VAT submissions and general tax compliance.

You’ll need to hit the ground running and have a finance qualification CIMA or ACCA along with industry experience. If you come from manufacturing that would be an advantage but not essential.
