Accountant

Position would be with the UK branch of an ambitious, well-funded and experienced international solar developer who have established themselves across Europe. Their goal is to develop over 10GW by 2025, and the UK is one of their key markets to achieve this and this branch in the UK is setting up to achieve this.

As we are just starting we are initially looking for a person with a passion for designing and supporting the setup of our systems but, as the business grows, we are hoping that the right candidate will grow with the business and develop the role and their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage all accounting transactions and balance sheets and profit/loss statements

· Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and reconcile general ledgers

· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and intercompany accounts

· Invoice processing and filing in XERO

· Ensure timely bank payments

· Support computing taxes and preparing tax returns

· Comply with financial policies and regulations

· Facilitate all statutory audits for the company

· PAYROLL for UK team into Barnes Roffe accountants

Requirements for Success:

· Minimum 5 years experience in an accountancy role

· CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified, or equivalent

· Strong reconciliation skills - from consultancy, audit, or other professional background

· Renewable energy experience a bonus

· A natural eye for detail and passion for clean energy!
