Accountant

JHE & Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join an innovative manufacturing & distribution services organisation with an international footprint. Based from their UK headquarters in Skipton, the chosen candidate will report to the Group Accountant and form a key part of the Finance function that oversees multiple international subsidiaries and revenues in excess of £150 million. The role is offered on a hybrid basis following an initial induction period, but you must be able to commute to Skipton 2 days per week.

Key elements of the role

• Group Reporting & Analysis - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow statements
• Monthly GL account entries - Accruals, prepayments, Fixed assets, reconciliation of sub ledger, bad debt provision and maintaining all supporting documents for the management reporting file.?
• Working to set Group Budgets & on-going budget variance analysis
• Compiling and controlling VAT & Intrastat Reports for local subsidiaries
• Oversee all elements of Accounts Payable & payroll

Qualifications and experience required

• Ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years PQE (QBE candidates will also be considered)
• Experience of Group accounts reporting & analysis, and comfortable communicating at board level
• Strong knowledge of multi-currency, multi-entity accounts is highly desirable
• An understanding and interest of working towards sustainability and environmental concerns
