Nicholas Hendry have partnered with a reputable accountancy practice based in Inverness & Highlands, we are looking to hire an experienced Accountant within practice that has experience of working closely with clients to prepare accurate statutory financial statements from client information, working with a broad portfolio of SME clients, ensuring all deadlines are met and to help manage, support, and develop a team of trainee accountants.

This is a permanent, full-time role that is based in the Inverness & Highlands area.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Preparing monthly & quarterly management accounts
• Drafting personal and corporate tax computations
• Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Preparing VAT returns
• Forming part of the senior management team within the office & supporting the accounts trainees with their development and training.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice - essential
• Experience of managing a team within an accountancy practice
• Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
• Comfortable working to strict deadlines
• Exceptional communication skills

Qualifications

Fully Qualified ACCA / ICAS or Qualified by Experience
