Accountant - Coleraine

A top opportunity for a qualified or QBE accountant, with a new Abacus Careers client! Excellent progression opportunity to FC level with a private NI business.

This role is suited to an experienced and enthusiastic individual ready to gain experience reporting directly to the Financial Controller, and undertake development and mentorship opportunities. In this role you will support the delivery of management accounting and cost accounting (including support for pricing).

We are looking for:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE Accountant
• OR Part-qualified Accountant with 3+ years’ experience (if actively working towards qualification)

The successful candidate will offer:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on data manipulation within Microsoft Excel.
• Strong work ethic with a drive for producing work to a high standard.
• Must be well organised, with an ability to work accurately within tight deadlines.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively from own initiative as well as in a team environment.
• Experience of ERP system(s)

Desirable Criteria: You can stand out if you offer...

• Understanding of the principles of standard costing in a manufacturing environment and the ability to relate this back to operational controls.
• 2 years recent experience within a manufacturing environment and/or e xperience in a factory environment
