Accountant

Accountant, Circa £40,000, Knaresborough

Are you a qualified or part qualified accountant looking to work for a friendly and supportive office? Do you have experience of budgets, general accounting & bookkeeping, able to provide a commentary on accounts and attending board meetings?

Our client is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to take responsibility for the financial function for a specific trading entity using Sage 50.

Skills Required:
• Previous experience is essential
• Part of fully qualified
• Working knowledge of Sage and confident user of Excel
• Ability to work on your own initiative and make decisions
• Self-motivated

Key Responsibilities:
• Dealing with all aspects of income and expenditure
• Making payments and processing receipts
• Submitting VAT returns and bank reconciliations
• Managing the payroll
• Producing the monthly management accounts
• Incorporating new acquisitions within the trading entities existing reporting function
• Budgets
• Attending board meetings when required
• Other general financial and administrative tasks as required
