Accounting and Systems Manager - Charity Experience Required  - Central London / Hybrid Working - £40k-£45k

We’re looking for a qualified Accountant, with experience working in the charity sector and solid knowledge of financial systems,to join a successful organisation in Central London as their Accounting and Systems Manager.

The Accounting and Systems Manager will be responsible for managing the accurate recording of accounts, producing the charity’s subsidiary financial statements, coordinating VAT and Corporation tax returns and developing, maintaining and implementing all of the financial systems.

In a nutshell: We’re looking for a CCAB, ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant with demonstrable understanding and experience of managing a charity’s accounts.

Key responsibilities as the Accounting and Systems Manager will include:

• Producing the charity’s subsidiary accounts and supporting the production of consolidated accounts
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Administering the investment portfolio, grant and scholarship programmes and fund accounting processes
• Producing all reconciliations for the charity including group intracompany balances
• Reviewing the age debtors and creditors reports
• Maintaining and developing financial systems
• Managing the administration of bank and investment accounts
• Developing and maintaining financial polices, systems and processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Leading on cashflow monitoring and reporting
• Line management of a Finance Administrator

What we’re looking for:

• CCAB, ACA or ACCA qualified
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role with deep knowledge and understanding of managing charity’s accounts
• Experienced in managing financial systems
• Excellent MS skills including advanced Excel
• Experienced in using Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Confident and effective communication skills with a diplomatic nature and the ability to liaise at all levels
• Proactive problem-solver with commercial acumen
• Line management experience / capabilities
