Adecco are recruiting to work on site with our prestigious Aerospace client for a Accounts Assistant.

Location: Huskison Way, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4SS

Hours: 39 Hours a week.

• Monday - Thursday - 8-4.45


• Friday 8-12

Contract Duration: 12 months

Role Summary

European Financial Shared Services (EFSS) is a shared services centre that performs duties on behalf of Raytheon Technologies sites located Europe. Among other things, EFSS manages end-to-end transactional processes such as Accounts Payable and Receivable. We are also responsible for maintaining a secure environment which promotes compliance with control procedures.

Brief Description of Key Job Requirements:

• Ensure all required postings are done timely and accurately;


• Validate the accuracy of postings via embedded controls within the entire process;


• Maintain accurate and complete ledgers;


• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of payable and receivable ledgers


• Monitor aged items and resolve in a timely manner;


• Forecast and manage cash surplus/deficit's in varying currencies on a monthly basis;


• Proactively participate in the preparation of the month end accounts within agreed timescales including accruals, prepayments, FX analysis, variance analysis and supporting commentary;


• Perform all the required controls and verifications as part of the month-end closing process;


• Take responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and work with accounting contacts to resolve relationships which are out of balance;


• Complete the HFM load for all companies required in EFSS including supplemental information. Ensure data is accurate and complete to avoid unnecessary late adjustments;

Requirements:

Recognised Accountancy Qualification in progress (Prior experience in the field is an advantage)

Effective organizational skills to ensure key deliverables are produced accurately and in time

Proactive approach to work is critical in this role

Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative is essential

Experience with SAP would be an advantage
