FRS are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a nationally recongnised business based within the construction sector. The business are offering a salary range of £28-32,000 depending on experience + study support + private healthcare + flexible working hours!
Suitable candidates will have experience of processing & maintaining Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger & Cash Book for an SME business previously, ideally using Sage. It would be an advantage if you've had experience of processing CIS / VAT returns also but this is not essential as it can be taught on your start with the business.
Duties Will Include
- Effectively processing Purchase & Sales Ledger invoices onto Sage
- Updating and cleansing information on the systems
- Ensuring all invoices are signed off as appropriate by the appropriate line manager prior to month end
- Resolving any queries as soon as possible, escalating to the Head of Finance if needs be
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparing the month end aged creditors list ready for the payment runs
- Posting bank transactions onto Sage
- Processing and sending out month end sales invoices
- Supporting the credit control for the business
- Preparing VAT / CIS returns (experience not essential)
