Reed Accountancy are representing a Manufacturing company, based in Stockton, who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team, supporting their accounting operations on a fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. The contract duration is for 12 months, running until January 2025. The working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Processing high volume invoicing and intercompany transactions
- Reconciling bank accounts and intercompany balances
- Preparing monthly reports and analysis
- Dealing with telephone and email queries from suppliers and resolving
- Supporting the finance manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- AAT qualification or qualified by experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Sage software and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
