Accounts Assistant (P/T) - Doncaster/Hybrid - £26k pro rata
Benjamin Edwards are delighted to be working exclusively for an established and expanding organisation recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis (16-24 hours per week).
The role of Accounts Assistant
- Day-to-day booking of incoming and outgoing payments in Sage 50 as per the bank statement
- Making sure that bank accounts tally with Sage
- Setting up of new supplier and customers in Sage accounts, taking approval on credit-limits from CEO and maintaining existing account details
- Pay out money via BACS - preparation, process, seeking authorisation for payment request as per company procedures
- Post cash receipts/credit card expenses
- File invoices and statements
- Deal with purchase enquiries
- Liaising with creditors where needed
- VAT
- Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
- General administration duties as required
- Providing necessary information to outside accounting firms for preparation of monthly reports/management accounts and audits
The ideal candidate for the role of Accounts Assistant
- A confident communicator with can do attitude, with a polite but firm telephone manner and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, creditors and service provider
- Good commercial acumen, common-sense approach
- Proficient Sage 50 and Microsoft packages (Excel and Word)
- Payroll experience will be desirable
