Signature Recruitment Bristol is thrilled to partner with a prestigious Chartered Accountancy Practice located in the picturesque heart of Bath. Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant, with practice experience, to join their team. This company are going from strength to strength, growing year on year. The role has come around due to organic growth within the company.

Joining a team of 20, you will be looking after clients’ accounts, assisting with management accounts, bookkeeping and year end reporting. This is a full-time hybrid role, working 37.5 hours a week, core hours being 9am to 5pm but they are flexible around this.

The role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the practice. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts for clients
• Prepare end of year financial statements
• Bookkeeping assignments for clients, this could be in the office or on site
• Management accounts
• HMRC & VAT returns
• Client relationship building, query answering and dealing with any issues

Requirements

• A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
• AAT Level 3, or AACA or ACA qualification or qualified by experience.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work
