Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to have partnered with a national manufacturer in recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant. Reporting into the Management Accountant you will be responsible for daily Purchase and Sales Ledger for 2 sites, plus additional duties delegated from the line manager.
Main duties:
- Responsibility for all aspects of the purchase ledger, setting up new suppliers, checks, processing invoices and payments.
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations and timely resolution of any queries.
- Responsibility for all aspects of the sales ledger, setting up new customers, checks, raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts.
- Ensuring accurate and timely postings for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation for standard procedures and processes.
- checking and validating any information prepared to ensure correct and accurate.
- Engaging with the operational teams and providing support to aid business decisions.
- Assisting with monthly management accounts, posting journals, preparing reports and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Support accountant with bi-weekly/monthly payroll, covering payroll when required.

- Confident to be the first point of contact for the finance department, maintaining professionalism.
- Have a recognised accounting qualification or a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
