Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive - Global Organisation - King’s Lynn Office - up to £26k + benefits

Our client, a leader in their field of expertise, is looking for a sharp, proactive and focused individual to join their lovely accounts team as an Accounts Executive to primarily support the Accounts Payable function.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive will be responsible for:

• Ensuring supplier invoices are accurately matched, processed and authorised for payment
• Assisting with month-end procedures including accruals
• Assisting with year-end audit requests
• Managing the accounts payable mailboxes and responding to queries
• Assisting with data capture and entry in to the company’s systems
• Processing supplier information updates as needed

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar accounts role
• Demonstrable understanding of basic accounting principles
• Studying the AAT or a desire to gain financial qualifications
• Excellent numerical skills
• Confident communication skills and a clear telephone manner
• Organised, methodical and meticulous with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• IT literate - proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office programmes
• Ability to multi-task
• Proactive team player

What’s on offer?

Standard hours are 8am - 4.30pm
