We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our village agency. This role will be to join the team in Little Shelford working alongside our Accountancy firm in London. The main aspects are liaising with the accountancy firm, keeping the purchase ledger up to date and dealing with clients to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
No experience is necessary as full training will be given. Experience in a customer service environment would be useful and comfortable talking to customers on the phone regarding invoice queries. The ideal candidate will be very customer focused, enjoy talking to people on the telephone with an empathetic, problem solving attitude.

Full Job Description The main focus is credit control and purchase ledger. Using the cloud-based software to upload receipts and invoices, talking to clients on invoice queries and working directly with the accountants and management team to provide timely updates. This is an office based position so you must be able to commute to Little Shelford.
Duties Include: • Verify all transactions are recorded in ledgers • Assist in the completion of VAT returns • QuickBooks is an advantage but familiar with any online operating systems will help. • Purchase ledger input, statement reconciliation and payment preparation • Credit management and chasing of debt
We would require 10 hours per week and the role can be flexibly worked around your schedule between Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
